Dr. Oana Romasan grew up in New York, and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Romasan has an extra two years of specialized training and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. She completed her specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital in NYC where she was chief resident.  She was also Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University for two years. She was in private practice in Manhattan before moving to South Florida in 1999.

Dr. Romasan is board eligible and a member in the AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry). She is active with multiple local, state and national organizations, one of which is the Broward County Dental Association where she serves on  the executive council as an Area Director for the Southeast of Broward County.  She is also the recipient of numerous awards in the last couple of years for her work in the community from The American Dental Association, The Florida Dental Association as well as the Broward Dental Association. She is also the current president of the Fort Lauderdale Dental Study Club.  

Teaching children in her community the importance of proper dental care is something that Dr. Romasan truly enjoys.  She has been chairperson for the GIVE KIDS A SMILE program sponsored by the American Dental Association since 2003.  This is a program that reaches underprivileged children in the community by providing free dental care through volunteer dentists, hygienists and assistants.  Dr. Romasan also volunteers her time reading with first graders at different schools in the community.  And, she provides her Mona the Molar mascot which goes to different schools, carnivals, etc. teaching children about oral health.

Dr. Romasan has a wonderful and direct approach in dealing with the children. Many come into her office for the first time and leave with smiles and urgency to come back. Her office is in partnership with the parents in providing the best dental care for your children. She thrives on the confidence and trusting relationship built between the children, parents and her office. Her open door policy allows the parents to be present during dental visits, allowing the parents to learn her child friendly terminology to reinforce positive experiences at home.
